Verified Wavize guide

Connect PrestaShop

Install the official module, connect the correct Wavize workspace and follow automatic catalogue synchronization.

Updated 19 August 2026

The Wavize module provides the native PrestaShop connection

The module installs from the PrestaShop module manager, links the store to the correct Wavize account and publishes the widget. After authorisation it prepares read-only access and automatically starts active catalogue synchronisation.

The commerce index contains products, combinations, prices, categories, translations and public pages available in the store. It is separate from files, crawled pages and company information used as editorial knowledge.

Recommended flow
Install the official module, open its configuration, select “Connect Wavize” and follow the displayed indexing progress.

Install the module from PrestaShop

Use the back office of the store that should actually display the assistant.

  1. Module manager

Open Modules > Module Manager, choose “Upload a module”, then upload the Wavize package supplied in your account. Wait for confirmation before leaving the page.

  2. Enabled module

Confirm Wavize is enabled and open Configure. If several stores share the back office, first select the intended store context.

  3. Public domain

Compare the domain displayed by the module with the canonical public address. Demo environments, subdomains and stores in a subfolder are distinct sites.

Complete the Wavize connection

Module configuration contains the guided-flow button.

  1. Connection button

Select “Connect Wavize”, then sign in in the opened window. Do not duplicate the module if the page takes a few seconds to return.

  2. Correct workspace

Check the displayed company, store and domain before approval. This prevents an administrator of several sites from attaching PrestaShop to the wrong account.

  3. Limited permissions

Approve the reads required for catalogue and visitor-requested tracking. The module should not receive permission to change listings or orders for these functions.

Let the module provision features

Completed authorisation configures the technical relationship and automatic operations.

  1. Verified connection

The panel should confirm that the store is linked. If confirmation is missing, return to Configure and resume the flow rather than entering technical information elsewhere.

  2. Widget available

Open a public page outside the back office and check the launcher appears. Clear only the necessary PrestaShop caches if the old theme continues to be served.

  3. Indexed catalogue

The first synchronisation retrieves active products and combinations in batches. Use the progress indicator before comparing results with the back-office catalogue.

Verify result quality

Useful checks compare the widget with data already present in PrestaShop.

  • Active product

Choose a few already-active visible references, then check name, price, image, combination, language and public link. A disabled item should not be recommended.

  • Multilingual search

When the store publishes several languages, open the page in the relevant language and verify synchronised labels. A translation absent from PrestaShop must not be invented by the assistant.

  • Confidential tracking

The form requires the matching reference and email before any detailed answer. On mismatch, the message deliberately remains neutral to protect customer data.

Diagnose without changing the store

Separate widget display, connection state and catalogue progress.

  • Widget absent

Check enabled module, multistore context, public theme, caches and authorised domain. Successful indexing does not guarantee the theme is already loading the widget.

  • Incomplete catalogue

Check active status, language, store context and synchronisation completion. Record one exact reference and observed time to support targeted analysis.

  • Interrupted connection

Reopen Configure and resume “Connect Wavize”. Avoid installing multiple module copies, which would complicate diagnosis without repairing authorisation.

Sustainable operation

The module lets you follow synchronisation and cleanly disconnect the store from its administration.

  • Read-only access — Catalogue and tracking features do not change PrestaShop data.
  • Disconnection — Disconnect from the module when the store should no longer feed Wavize.
  • Contextual help — Provide domain, module version, time and visible state without exposing customer contact details.
