Configure welcome and discount-code campaigns
Manage the welcome message as a normal disableable campaign and create trackable offers.
Updated 7 August 2026Welcome is a normal campaign, not a requirement
Wavize creates a default welcome campaign so the widget is immediately testable. It targets all pages and devices, starts after three seconds, uses a 24-hour cooldown, one daily impression and priority 50.
This campaign counts toward ten total and five active campaigns. The client may edit, disable or delete it. A marker prevents automatic recreation after intentional deletion.
Safe promotion
Coupon code accepts letters, digits, hyphen and underscore up to 80 characters. Wavize displays it but does not create the discount in your store: the code must already exist and be valid there.
Adapt the default welcome campaign
Open Proactive messages, locate the welcome campaign and choose Edit.
Present one promise
In up to 220 characters, introduce the assistant and offer concrete help: find a product, understand a service or track an order when integration exists.
Localize without overloading
Complete useful languages and set fallback. A missing translation does not justify repeating two languages in the same bubble.
Choose pause or deletion
Pause preserves settings and statistics for later use. Deletion is for a welcome you no longer want to manage; Wavize will not force it back.
Prepare the discount in the store
Before Wavize, create and test the code in Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Wix or your payment engine.
Commercial rules
Define amount or percentage, minimum order, eligible products, usage count, stacking and dates. The Wavize message must exactly reflect these rules.
Copyable code
Use a short code without spaces, such as WELCOME10. The field rejects characters beyond letters, digits, hyphen and underscore.
Landing page
Prepare an HTTP/HTTPS URL to the relevant collection or offer. Do not link to a 404, preview or cart belonging to your session.
Create the Promotion campaign
Choose Promotion type to display coupon and badge fields.
Message and badge
Explain the benefit without overstating it. Promotion badge is limited to 80 characters; use it for “10% off” or “Offer until Aug 31,” not full terms.
Consistent CTA
A “View offer” button should lead to the offer. If visitors must copy the code and shop elsewhere, state that clearly in the message.
Targeting and expiry
Target relevant pages or categories, add an end date and set priority above welcome only when the promotion should replace it.
Verify the offer end to end
A Wavize impression or click does not prove the coupon works at checkout.
Eligible private session
Open the right page, satisfy delay/scroll and verify text, badge, code and button.
Test cart
Add an eligible product, apply the code and confirm amount, minimum and dates. Do not place a real order unless your test procedure requires it.
Separate measurement
Wavize measures campaign display and engagement; your store remains the source for coupon usage, revenue and orders.
Pre-activation checklist
Activate only when the offer and its message say exactly the same thing.
- Existing code — Created, active and tested in the store.
- Accurate terms — Value, products, minimum, stacking and dates match.
- Controlled pressure — Cooldown, cap and priority prevent repetition.
